Nike Zoom KD 4 IV YOTD Year Of The Dragon 473679-300

Nike Zoom KD 4 IV YOTD Year Of The Dragon 473679-300

Shaping up to be a sneaker that just can’t miss, the Nike Zoom KD IV has a pretty strong track record despite only having a handful of colorways to its name. With that being said, we’d be pretty surprised if the 2012 Year of the Dragon didn’t fly off the shelves as quickly as its predecessors. Like the Nerf and Weatherman before it, this release goes heavy on the graphics-with a wavy look for the strap and lining as well as a little dragon hit floating around the swoosh on the medial side of the sneaker. Nike LeBron 9 IX Freegums White Black Red 469764-101

Dec 31st is LeBron James’ 27th birthday; however, Nike will celebrate it the following day in the form of the Freegums x Nike LeBron 9 release. This subtle yet stylish colorway of LeBron’s ninth signature features extremely detailed graphic art throughout the upper. The previously mentioned artistic designs are the work of Miami artist Freegums aka Alvaro Ilizarbe. The predominately white and black upper is also offset by minimal Sport Red branding hints and a unique, artsy pattern on the inner lining. Check out more images below and get it at our online shop.

In between limited releases, the Nike Zoom KD IV is surfacing at retailers in some pretty appealing general colorways. This KD IV sports a look similar to last year's "Away" POP Nike Zoom KD III, which was initially confused for a Baltimore Orioles colorway. The shoe features a black synthetic base with a matte finish, accented by Team Orange on the cross-strap, toebox Swoosh branding, tongue logo and midsole. White takes care of the Swoosh logos on the strap and medial side, as well as KD's official logo on the heel. Finishing off the look are hits of grey on the inner lining and midsole and a black rubber outsole. Via: sole collector

Nike LeBron 9 IX Christmas Edition 469764-602

Nike LeBron 9 IX Christmas Edition 469764-602

In our talk with LeBron designer Jason Petrie, the man stressed again and again the importance of using the sneaker and its different releases to communicate a clear story. The drops we’ve seen for LeBron’s ninth have achieved that so far, and the ‘Christmas Day’colorway arriving soon definitely does that as well. Hopefully capturing some of the elation brought about by the return of the NBA in the heart of the holiday season, this Christmas release has held the attention of many despite fierce competition from other big-time drops in the month of December.
